Losing access to email address associated with AppleID

Hi - I'm leaving my current ISP and therefore I will no longer have access to the email address that is my AppleID. Is there a workaround?

If your Apple ID is yourname@currentISP.xxx, you can change your Apple ID.

If you are no longer using the email address that's associated with your Apple ID, you can change it. You won’t lose access to your contacts, purchases or other account information.
