How do I turn off scrolling with my Magic Mouse?

Hi.

I have an M1 iMac and I also have a Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse that came with it.

The Magic Keyboard is fine but I can't tell you how much I HATE the touch-to-scroll feature on the magic mouse.

It always gets in my way when I'm trying to edit in iMovie.

I'm running MacOS 13.5.2.

Is there any way to turn it off?

Thx.

I went to The Apple Menu, System Settings, and Mouse, and turn off "Natural Scrolling" but I still have that problem.

Hello ThatOneWindowsFan,

We'll be happy to help with the Magic Mouse.

You can customize the setting for the Magic Mouse. Take a look at Change Mouse settings on Mac - Apple Support.

If you still need more customization on the Magic Mouse settings you can go to Change Pointer Control settings for accessibility on Mac - Apple Support

Let us know if you have any questions.

Take care!
