Can my uncle buy an iphone 15 in an Apple store in the USA and bring it to me in Croatia without activating it?

For some additional context, he lives in Texas and I live in Croatia. I currently have an iphone X. Is it necessary for him to activate the phone while still in the US or can I activate it in Croatia?

Yes.

Note the following:

  1. US iPhones do not support physical sim cards anymore. Only eSIm. You will need to use a carrier in Croatia that supports eSim. click here ➜ Find wireless carriers and worldwide service providers that offer eSIM service - Apple Support
  2. The Warranty will not be valid in Croatia. If any repairs need to be made you will need to physically take it back to the US for service. Apple does not take international shipments for service.
