Why won't Notifications turn on my iPhone screen

I agree! Is there a chance to fix it in future updates or it will be like that forever since it has to do with a specific series of iPhone?

I think there is a bug related to the operation of the proximity sensor. In the first screen replacement, my proximity sensor was not working. However, all other features were working, including the screen waking up when notified. When the sensor was changed, the screen did not wake up when notified. Although different screens and sensors were tried, the result did not change. I am sure that this problem is software. Since I bought my phone from abroad, I cannot change the screen at Apple Service even by paying a fee in accordance with Apple policies. When I receive service from private services, I receive an important screen message. I have suspicions that this notification creates a bug in the notification centre. For now, I am waiting for the notification to be deleted from the settings.

Yes Im having that same problem since the update to 17.5, but it only effects my iphone XR and not my iphone SE, I have reset the phone 3 time and it works for a couple notification then it goes back to not working.

Same issue. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fact that I'm not looking directly at the screen? Is that a setting option? I know that I had to turn on the feature for siri to work even if my face wasn't looking at the screen (when my phone was in my pocket or upside down on a table) so I'm wondering if this is a similar setting? I read a comment that said disabling notifs on apple watch resolves the issue but I don't want to keep my watch notifs off at all times.

Hey everyone, my dad’s phone was having the same problem - all the settings were correct but a new notification still wouldn’t light up the screen. I did a system restart and that’s fixed it! Hope it helps some of you too

That was it! It was the Apple Watch. I wish the watch didn’t prevent phone screen from waking up. Thank you for chiming in with the correct solution. You prevented me from losing my sanity tonight. 👏

My iPhone 15 lock screen won't light up for notifications anymore. I dropped the phone and had the screen replaced with an off brand LCD screen. I didn't realize it wasn't an Apple brand OLED screen. All of my settings look good. Anyone know if that's the issue?

Please how’d you do that? I search “screen guard” on settings but I couldn’t find it. I have this issue on my 14pro since the first time I bought this phone. My phone screen still won’t light up whenever I receive the notification 😭

Mine was doing the same calls would light up but not notifications, I had a lil crack in my screen protector and I took it off and it started working
