Stand By mode not working ios 17

iPhone 12 Pro:

I have my phone all set up for stand by to work. It is plugged in (not mag). It is horizontal.

Stand by never starts up.

Update:

Either this was recently added or i just missed it - in order to start the standby mode (besides leaving on its side and plugged in) - you have to press the side button to turn on the stand by.

I did so, and it is working, but goes black after a few minutes. But, that is a different issue and if i can't fixx, will open a new topic.

We understand you're having trouble with StandBy. We'd be happy to help you troubleshoot this.

There has been an update released since iOS 17 was released, use the steps here to update:

Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If the issue persists even after the update, turn off StandBy, then turn it back on:

Use StandBy to view information at a distance while iPhone is charging - Apple Support

"Turn off StandBy

Go to Settings > StandBy, then turn off StandBy."

The 12 Pro does not have Always On Display so you have to push the button.

Here’s another question. On both my 14 PM and new 15 PM, always on display is enabled but when phone is on MagSafe charger the screen will stay on for about 30 seconds and then go blank and only come on again when motion is detected.

I thought the standby screen was supposed to remain on for phones with AOD.

I upgraded from 17 public beta to the ios17 now available.

That installed correctly.

turned off standby.

turned on standby.

plug phone in, cable, not magsafe

phone is charging.

place on side and leave it.

2-5 minutes, no stand by.

does standby work with 12 pro?

does standby work with plugged in using cable?
