I added my account in my mac mail on my laptop but it isn't downloading or sending any mail. I can get mail on my ipad & iphone but not on my macbook pro from microsoft exchange.

Godaddy has gone to the paid for exchange account.
If you have the "option" you can from the GD server-side simply have your email forwarded to another of your existing email accounts to sidestep all associated issue and added expense.
