Lost my memoji when transferring to iPhone 15 Pro/iOS 17.0.2

I upgraded from an iPhone 14 Pro to a 15 Pro yesterday. I traded in my old phone at the same time, so transferred all my data in store (O2 in the UK) using data transfer from my old phone. My new phone was updated to iOS 17.0.2 before the data transfer as the guy in store said this was essential as there were issues with data transfer on older iOS 17 versions.

Everything appeared to have transferred fine, but later on I noticed my Memoji had disappeared. I could see all the animal ones etc, but my own personal one that I had on my old phone (and previous phones before that), had disappeared and my only option was to make a new one, which I haven’t been able to make look as good as my old one due to the facial hair/stubble options being different. I really loved my old little guy, he really did look like me, and the new one I’ve made just isn’t the same!

I have never had an issue with this when transferring to a new phone before. Has this happened to anyone else (I’m running iOS 17.0.2), or does anyone know why this has happened or how I can get my old Memoji back?
