I can't access my recently opened files after I updated my iPad to ios 17.1. Those files appear in my "Recents" but can't be opened. I haven't deleted them too. How to fix this bug? I have my notes there and does not have other copy.
WHAT IS GOING ON, READ ALL THE COMMENTS AND NO ONE HAS FOUND A WAY AROUND THIS CLEARLY UNFORTUNATE APP ERROR? ARE WE SUPPOSED TO JUST CALMLY ACCEPT OUR FILES ARE GONE FOREVER? MY FILES SHOW WHEN I GO TO RECENT BUT THEY'RE UNCLICKABLE SO ARE THEY HANGING IN THERE OR SOMETHING? SOMEBODY ACTUALLY HELP FIX THIS!!!
same thing happened to me. Worked on 3 files. Now all have disappeared in the thin air. Found any solution.

Hey does anyone know how to fix this problem as I use files to study a lot and my files keep disappearing and I am not deleting them. It is happening on my iPad. It is on update 17.1 I think
No actually, nothing was recovered. I tried it for two days, and have now rewritten all the notes again on pen/paper and a different 3rd party app called Goodnotes. :(

Still happening! I’ve lost at least 5 ebooks for school that I’ve purchased and downloaded into ‘Files’ over the last couple of months and they are now all gone. Apple owes me about $150.00.
the bug has not yet been fixed, i experienced it a lot of times
