IOS 17.0.2 update made my touch screen not responsive to touch i cannot (iPhone 14)

Try and force restart the iPhone to see if the issues persist

1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
3. Press and hold the side button.
4. When the Apple logo appears, release the side button.

Unfortunately, restarting the phone does not help at all on an iPhone 15 pro.

Also, it seems that for iOS 17.2.1 the phone will not allow a restore either.

What are other options to get touch controls working again?
