I deleted photos and videos from my iMac and they are still showing up on my phone.

I spent an entire day deleting photos/videos and organizing my photos into albums. None of these changes are going to my iPhone. I have an iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017, with macOS Ventura 13.5.1 and an iPhone 12, with iOS16.6.1. I have tried several recommendations from this site and cannot resolve the issue.

iPhone 12, iOS 16

If you have iCloud Photos enabled on your Mac and your iPhone, those changes should reflect on all of your connected devices, that are registered to the same Apple ID.

Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support

In case you are not using iCloud Photos, syncing your iPhone to your Mac will transfer the changes to the iPhone.
