Resetting my password is difficult now! I have done it before but seems i am having trouble doing that.

Help! I can’t reset my password. I used to reset it and ot was easy. But now can’t! Already called Apple support 2 times a nd they just instructed me how to reset which I already did on my own for 4 months now. The last time I called the support guy said it might be a system error and they could not reverse it themselves. Its says on their side that my issue was resolved. How come? I received several emails that they will call or text at a certain date but i just keep on receiving emails saying they will reset and i have to wait for a certain period of time. Where else can I call? They can’t seem to fix my problem.

iPhone 11, iOS 16

There is nowhere else to call, customers are in control of their Apple ID's from their own end only.

It sounds like you are running into issues with the account recovery process for two factor authentication. Most the time issues like yours happen it is caused by unintended user error that makes the automated system think you are canceling the recovery process.

You'll want to start the process once more. Then during the wait period make sure you are also following How to use account recovery when you can’t reset your Apple ID password - Apple Support

  • If you submitted your account recovery request with iforgot.apple.com through your device's browser, you should avoid using that device during this period. Using that device might cancel account recovery.
  • To avoid delays, turn off other devices that are signed in with your Apple ID until account recovery is complete.

Basically, don't do anything that might be seen as using your Apple ID. Don't do any updates for the iOS or apps. Don't try to sign in. Don't change Apple ID settings. So on.
