So I have tried compressor and it seems with reasonably the same settings as handbrake it is a lot slower and will take 50 minutes to 1hour for compressor to complete while handbrake seems to say 20-23 minutes to complete their compression?

Well I need it compressed more. my recording stuff should be fine though so I don't get how it can be compressed that much.
Well can compressor compare to that then or is it pointless to even try?
A normal production recording, at a good data rate, for two hours 25 of 60fps H.264 is going to be about 35 GB.

If you have a PC with an Nvidia card that’s what you should use if you use Handbrake as it has hardware encoding options for that system.
That is fair enough. I just wanted to basically make sure I don't have a setting or option not on in compressor that could be making it slower than handbrake is all.
