The red exclamation mark (!) shows up whenever I send a picture, gif, or video, however the people I send it to can still see what I sent. This makes it hard to determine which messages actually go through and which don’t.

If I send a video, picture, or gif, occasionally the red exclamation mark will appear along with the message “Not delivered”. However, when I ask the people I sent it to if they can see the message, they tell me they can.

Hello DOGESOSWAG,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are issues with sending messages, as it shows it wasn't sent but the recipient says they received it. First, make sure you have followed the steps in this Apple resource: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If you are still having this issue after following the steps in that link and the messages are a green bubble (SMS/MMS), please contact your carrier. If these are blue bubble messages, please contact Apple directly for further investigation: Apple Support

Cheers!
