-load a copy of your photos and videos from iCloud Photos.

What happens when you delete photos or videos:

Remember, when you delete a photo from iCloud Photos, it also deletes from

iCloud and any other device where you're signed in with the same Apple ID —

even if you turned on Download and Keep Originals or Download Originals to

this Mac. If you choose to download your originals, this also impacts your

Recover deleted photos or videos

  1. Open Photos and tap the Albums tab.
  2. Tap the Recently Deleted album under Utilities.
  3. In iOS 16, iPadOS 16.1 or later, use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock your Recently Deleted album.
  4. Tap Select.
  5. Select the photo or video you want to keep and tap Recover. If you want to recover all of the photos and videos in the album, tap Recover All.
  6. Tap Recover Photo to confirm.

If you delete a photo or video accidentally, you'll have 30 days to get it back from your Recently Deleted album. When you recover photos and videos, they'll appear back in your Library.

Some items might be recovered by routine, within limits, can happen; but..

"If you discover a deleted video within 30 days, you can simply recover it from

the Recently Deleted album. After that, the probability of successfully recover

-ing the videos is directly related to the amount of usage your iPhone receives."


To use a computer and make backups to an attached external drive, may be

a better answer -with experimentation- then at least you may create options.
