Well, not is all that well although it appears to not be a problem with Sonoma. I went ahead and upgraded to Sonoma in the hope that it would stop kernel panics that had been happening. I have installed both of the updates and am now running 14.1.2. It made a slight improvement but I was still plagued by crashes, all of which I sent in to Apple. Observing that the crashes mostly happened when I was in Safari, I switched over to Firefox as my default browser which seemed to improve things considerably. However, when I sat down at the computer this morning, it had crashed again. After putting in my password, it crashed again. UGHHHH. I have been with Macs for decades, and it has been a long time since I did a true clean install. If this continues, then I may have to bite the bullet and start again. However, I have lots of software, some of it quite old and don't know if I have the necessary installers to get it back up and running. This probably isn't very helpful but I wanted to replay to your question.
