Siri keeps listening after she answers my question on my iPhone

I ask Siri a question, she answers like normal, but then she keeps listening and the results I’m trying to read go away because she’s moved on to answering some inane thing that was not directed to her. Why is this happening? How can I turn it off? It is so inconvenient and unwelcome.

Siri does not work well on the iPhone 16 Pro Siri does not work well on the iPhone 16 Pro for some reason. I got a new phone. I have retrained Siri multiple times. Sometimes, she never answers. Other times, she stops listening and turns off partway through my question. I rarely can get a question answered. Siri on this new phone is worthless. Any suggestions on how to fix it? Why does Siri's response disappear so quickly? When I ask Siri, a question, it pops up on the screen, but then disappears before I have a chance to read it. I need to slow down to give me a chance to read the instructions or answers to my questions. [Re-Titled By Moderator]

My wife says that clearly Siri is very lonely in that tiny little box with no friends, and she welcomes bringing poor lonely Siri into conversations.

The best part is that it never responds to a follow up. Question you ask while it’s supposed to be listening for one just like this unnecessary period in the middle of this sentence.
