My 2018 iMac is very slow. I updated the to OS Ventura 13.6.1. It takes forever to start up and everything is very slow (getting files, opening apps etc.). Also searches on the internet are very slow. Use the same internet with my 2012 MacBook Air which works flawlessly (so not an internet problem).

You did everything that can reasonably expected to diagnose that problem, including reinstalling macOS. Two to three minutes to launch apps is two or three minutes too long.

Please determine if that Mac performs just as poorly in "Safe Mode": Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support.
Tried safe mode, no improvement. Reinstalled OS. Still the same. Apps take 2' to 3' minutes plus to show up (messenger, mail, Numbers). Is this may be hdw related?
