iCloud Space ~ Software Update

☁️ My iCloud storage is 3.2 GB used out of 5 GB . The software update

17.1.1 is 2.95 GB .

3.2 + 2.95 = 6.15 Is this correct …do I not have enough space ?

Also , is it possible to turn off iCloud for an item on one device only ?

Some of my information doesn't need to be on all of my devices . It appears to me that I'll loose it all if I turn it off ? If that's the case , how do I free up iCloud storage space without loosing content ?

A1. You have plenty of space. This would be local stored on your iPhone --it would not be uploaded to iCloud. So, no worries there: What's the Difference Between Device Storage and iCloud Storage? - Apple Support

A2. The only way you would lose that data is if you were to lose access to your account, or if they are not backed up. So, create a backup, using my user tip: Getting a Quick and Direct "iCloud Drive-to-External Hard Drive" Download - User Tip
