Final Cut Pro 10.6.10 KEEP CRASHING!

once I load the library and click on an event FCP just crashes! I’ve tried creating new libraries, opening other libraries still the same! It is very frustrating because I have a ton of work to do!!! Any help?! Or any solutions?!

Whenever the application crashes or behaves incorrectly, delete its preferences. To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting FCP X and click Delete Preferences. The application will start in a default state, and open an “Untitled” library.

Reopen the library you were working on, set the preferences the way you like them, and try again.

If the problem persists: Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here.

Use the “additional text” button and paste the report into the text box.

Uninstall Google Chrome and get rid of all this Google malware and reinstall the application.

What third party apps are crashing FCP? Do you mean plugins? Which plugins? Have you contacted the developer?

Oh boy!

They blame the update...

The only way some stuff was deleted by the update is if had been installed inside the application bundle itself.

There is no reason to do that, it's completely wrong, and it's on them.

No responsible developer would advise that. There are proper places to install templates or plug-ins, and they are NOT inside the application bundle.

So there is a PFS(Pixel film studio) folder that should have been in the application folder. After I updated the OS for Mac, the folder was not there. But the Plugin files were there in Movies --> Motion templates folder.

So i was asked to install the PFS folder( given to me in a zip file during the chat itself by the developer) again, place it in the application folder, then reinstall the plugins again. And check that the plugins this time landed in that folder. Once I did that, the plugins were now in the folder and crash stopped happening.

If it helps anyone in future.
