Passcode for set up on new ipad

Old iPad has 4 digit passcode & new iPad is asking for a 6 digit passcode

Six digit Passcodes are now standard when setting-up a new device - whereas much older devices had a four digit Passcode.

Do you have a particular problem? What, specifically, are you attempting to achieve?

Trying to set up new iPad & it will only except 6 digit passcode & will not allow me to continue on with set up

Trying to setup new iPad & it is asking for old passcode which is 4 digit. New Ipad is only excepting a 6 digit passcode
