downloading Clips projects from the iCloud

My kids are mad because while trying to free up some space on the iPad I deleted several of their projects in Clips. I can see they're still on the iCloud but can't see how I download them back on to their device.

I opened up Manage Account Storage and I can see that Clips has a bunch of files stored there but they're labelled 'encrypted files' with just the size of the files and no other data. How to I download these back to the iPad they were previously on?

Typically, deleting the projects from Clips will delete them from iCloud as well. If you still see that Clips is storing data in iCloud, you can try turning iCloud off then back on for Clips:

  • Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Apps using iCloud > Clips

or

  • Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > iCloud Drive > Apps Syncing to iCloud Drive > Clips

If the projects still don't appear in Clips, you can try restoring the iPad from a backup:

If the projects still don't appear, they are probably lost :/
