Garage Band - Error when starting new project after install "Maximum number of Audio tracks"

I see a lot of people have had the same issue but I am not seeing a resolve for the problem. When starting a new project I am getting the message — "Maximum number of Audio tracks: You have added the maximum number of Audio tracks (1000) to your song. Delete one or more Audio tracks before adding another Audio track."

However, this is the first time I have opened the program and there are (0!) audio tracks... Can some please help with a viable answer as to why this would be occurring?

I have deleted and reinstalled twice with the same issue persisting.
