The last time a wrote a book it was in iBook Author, now I am doing it in Pages and I want to see a preview of just my first few pages to check my formatting, but I can't see a way to do that short of a full "Publish to Apple Books". Is this true? I need to do a full publish?

File > Export to > epub. Then view with the Books app.
Do I have to do a full "publish" to see a preview or sample of my apple book?
