If I leave for a few hours, when I come back I have the message that my Mac restarted because of a problem. WHAT PROBLEM? This thing is less than a week old!

The latest macOS versions are having various issues with automatic computer sleep mode.
Some systems crash and force a restart, others freeze up and are unresponsive.
As a test:
Turn on "Prevent automatic sleeping when display is off" and only allow the display to turn off.
Leave the Mac ON and allow the display to turn OFF during the day, then shut down for longer periods of non-use.
If that helps...?
Then sending Feedback to Apple could also help.
You can't cause a Bus error except by having a hardware problem. And yours is specific to LLC bus that is not accessible to software at all.
You have a hardware problem.
I think I'm having the same problem. Mac Studio is 4 weeks old. Every morning I login in to computer and am welcomed with a restart message.
What changes did you make so that the problems went away?
if your Mac was acquired DIRECT from Apple, and not through a Reseller of any description, you have a strict 14 days from receipt to return or exchange for Full Value refund/exchange.
Mannytat, may I ask what settings did you change specifically? On the Mac Studio, the monitor, both?

Exact same machine and issue here just got it yesterday looks like it's getting returned. I don't get how everyone on here is all "I fixed it, I just had to disable sleep." How is that a fix!?!?
I feel the same, but it satisfies some.:)
I do have a VPN software running as well as BackBlaze. Went ahead and disabled the VPN for now and we’ll see what happens…
