In my home WiFi network (Orbi RBK850/852 mesh) whenever I turn off Private Wifi Network, my IPhone within a few hours or a day, turns on this feature again. I would like to permanently disable this feature. It is meaningless to randomize max addresses in a home network. Please help. Maybe I’m missing something?

I'm running a newer version of iOS (17.x) so this could perhaps be an old bug. My Private WiFi Network preferences are remembered for both my home and office networks where I don't want to use that feature.

@turingtest2 I'm running 17.5.1 and am a heavy business user with half a dozen high-end router based VPN's for our different country offices, for me it regularly and randomly turns on Private WiFi Network including on any one of my iOS and/or late model macOS Sonoma 14.5 devices, about a dozen all up. Plus the Limit IP Address Tracking feature does the same. The effect is that it loses security on the connection. If I was being cynical I'd say Apple is not too fussed as they can then 'anonymously' monitor web traffic, despite what they headline about Meta. And let's face it these two plus Private Cloud Relay are just Apple's version of it's own VPN.
