No. If it were necessary to "park" the hard drive, Apple would have done this with all Time Capsules that had to be initially shipped to stores and directly to users.

If you don't still have the original packing, use some foam padding to cushion the Time Capsule in the packing box and don't worry about trying to "park" the hard drive.

You might start to worry though about the age of your Time Capsule, since this product was introduced almost 10 years ago and discontinued about 5 years ago. 7-8 years is about the time that any hard drive becomes "suspect", so your Time Capsule may already be in that window. Check the purchase date of your Time Capsule if you can.
