How to recover my old TiBook Microsoft 2005 emails?

Ciao from Italy,

in 2005 I exported my Outlook emails form a Titanium PowerBook G4 and a "Microsoft User Data_2004" folder was generated. Among my identity datas the file "messages" (309Mb) should be what I am looking for and I did try to open it with an Outlook 2004 running on an old PowerMac G5 but with no results. Ye old G5 is gone now and I can't keep doing attempts on it.

I am considering to buy an old TiBook but before such an extreme option any advice "for dummies" will be much appreciated.
