Converting MP4 File To .MOV

I am having issues editing a video that was shot in an mp4 format on my Mac. I would like to preview the videos before I add them to my fcpx but I can't because QuickTime can't process mp4. Is there a way around this?

how do I convert .mov to .mp4? I don't see a way to save my .mov file as an .mp4 file when using iMovie. Please advise.

convert from .mov to mp4 I have many .mov files which I want to convert to mp4 files. I have a tried a number of on-line conversion sites. Each time conversion fails. I also have tried applications such as MacX Video Converter Pro. It too has failed. What's the solution?
