All Hue lights moved to one room in HomeKit

I have over 45 hue bulbs, assigned to about 15 different rooms. Today, suddenly and randomly, every hue bulb now appears in only one room in the HomeKit app and have been removed from all my HomeKit routines. The lights are listed in the correct rooms in the Hue app. I have no earthly idea how this would’ve happened. Is there anyway to synchronize the rooms I have set up within the Hue app with HomeKit? So frustrating…

Same thing has been happening with all my Hue lights: all move to the room the with bridge. Has happened multiple times since the beginning of the year. I've moved lights back to rooms, I've deleted the home in Homekit and then synced through the Hues app, which I did last time. It held for a several weeks but now last night they all moved back to the room with the bridge. Move everything manually to appropriate room but today everything is back in one room. Extremely annoying and frustrating. Doesn't seem Philips or Apple want to own up to this and help everyone out.

This has happened to me twice in the space of a couple of weeks: all Hue devices suddenly set to the room assigned to the Hue bridge. The first time I reassigned the lights back to the correct rooms - 43 lights and 3 smart plugs, so about a 10 - 15 min monotonous process, I think - not something I care to do every couple of weeks.

some other data points:

  • Eve light switches using Matter are still assigned to the correct rooms in Homekit.
  • Lutron Caseta light switches (I don't think the Lutron bridge uses Matter) are still assigned to the correct rooms in Homekit.
  • Amazon Echo devices did not lose Hue light/switch room assignments .

I think the problem seems to be specifically a Hue-to-Homekit issue, but I'm not sure whether Apple or Signify is is to blame.

For me items get moved to the room with the bridge. A fix would be to have a bridge in every room and only pair that rooms items to its bridge. Can anyone else confirm the devices are movie to the room with the bridge? If your hue devices are moving are they moving to the room with the hue bridge?

I have exactly the same issue, it seemed to be triggered due to a reboot of the philips hue hub, I have hubs from aqara, netatmo, somfy and I only have issues with the Philips hue Bridge.

Hue was for me the most reliable hub for the past few years but since the matter update it's been the least reliable. What a shame.

Anyone that has a solution feel free to share.

I do have my suspicion that it may be caused by the Apple sides of things.
