Apple Carplay Not Working With iPhone 15 Pro

I have an Acura MDX 2019, and my iPhone 13 works fine with the cable attached into the Carplay slot. For some reason, even after using a data cable and buying a new cable to make it work, it does not show up in the Carplay Menu on the phone, and the car does not recognize any device being connected. However, the phone still charges while being plugged into the car, and Bluetooth works fine. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? I'll try updating to the latest IOS version to see if that works (I'm on IOS 17.3 currently).
