Editing cassette in GarageBand

Hi. I have some band cassette tape recordings from the 90s. A lot of the bass is too loud. I am a total novice. How can I edit the bass to be lower after recording the cassette into GarageBand?

Oh, the first few I have just recorded the tape playing using the voice function on an iPad so not ideal haha.

Thank you!

So you should be able to use EQ for this. If you are using an iPad, press the button in the top left that looks like three vertical sliders, next to FX. Then press the arrow next to plug-ins and EQ, then select the icon (not the power icon, the wave icon) next to visual EQ. There should be a few dots that you can slide around to change the volume of different pitches, and if you press "Analyser" then it should show what pitches are being played.
