I sometimes want to link to a PDF document that I have saved in Apple Books. E.g.: I have a note or a reminder in which I want to refer to a pdf document which itself is stored in the books app. Clicking on the link would then open the PDF within the books app. Is there really no way how I can achieve this? (Mac or iPhone)

Hello, I would like to do the same thing. A link to a pdf in books or even a page from an actual book would be a smart way to integrate the power of both apps.
As it stands I have to create a separate note and add the PDF to it.
Absolutely. I still haven’t found a way to do this.
