How to recover inaccessible folders on Mac Studio M1 4TB

MAC M1 Studio 4TB, I found i lost around 1 TB foe system data, inside the system data folder found inaccessible folders around 1 TB.


  1. can i purge it (even I have no access to this huge folder)
  2. hoe i can ger back control and how i can purge it.

Generally system data folders are not for mortal hands. The fact it is taking up so much space, suggests you have a huge task that is requiring large files, or a task that crashed that left behind a huge core dump. Usually these files erase themselves when you reboot your Mac.


Etrecheck is an excellent utility to determine what background application might be making large system files, and if you really need those utilities. See this tip:
