Mail and messages on Sonoma 14.5 suddenly not working

Not sure what happened, I keep everything firmly up to date.

Messages won't open. I searched for some solutions, found the 'calibri' option and made sure those were fully installed in the Font Book. No change.

Mail will open, but I get the following message over and over and over and over and over (until I force quit) to the point that mail is no longer an option for me to use.

I have a Mac Studio M2 with Sonoma 14.5.

Any ideas on how to fix the email or the message issue?
