Can I submerge the Zeiss Optical Inserts into warm soapy water to clean?
I’m not sure, but is there any electronic part to these inserts I need to be worried about getting wet? I know when I remove them, the AVP knows that I have removed them. And when I reinsert them, the AVP know which ones I have inserted. So… I’m guessing there may be a small chip in the optical inserts?
Please advise. Thanks.

Yes... you can submerge. The following is from Zeiss:
"When heavily soiled, rinse ZEISS Optical Inserts under lukewarm water"
Make sure they are dry before reinserting.
