Regarding strabismus and the inability to accommodate glasses users with prism values using the Zeiss Insert Lens

Please excuse this cross-post with the Japanese community. Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue?

I'm thoroughly enjoying using my Vision Pro. While I'm eagerly anticipating the release of visionOS 2, I'm wondering if there's a solution for the strabismus issue mentioned in the title.

Fortunately, my strabismus isn't severe, so I don't have any problems with objects placed within about 1 meter in the virtual space. However, I feel fatigued when objects floating beyond that distance appear as double images.

This sometimes also diminishes the quality of the spatial video experience, which is quite disappointing.

From online reports of people who have attempted to forcibly attach prism lenses, I've heard that this interferes with eye-tracking input. I understand that an optical solution seems difficult to implement.

However, would it be possible to functionally address this issue through software, perhaps by offsetting the rendering of objects in the virtual space to account for the prism value?

I've read that people who spend a lot of time looking at displays tend to develop more cases of esotropia (inward-turning strabismus), so I believe there may be others facing similar issues.

I would like to strongly request that Apple consider whether this could be resolved through software engineering.

ah... Please forgive any unintended discourtesy in this post, as it has been translated into English by Mr.Claude3.

Hi there. Apple tries to address most conditions with accessibility features in order to make apple devices more inclusive and easy to use for everyone. That being said, they aren’t always able to release features for everything. We’re unable to tell if Apple is releasing any more accessibility features for the Vision Pro as this is a user-to-user forum. You can provide product feedback here as a suggestion to Apple. Thanks so much for your reply my post! This is really helpful.

Just to let you know, we don't have an official way to submit feature requests for Vision Pro in Japan yet. But thanks to your help, I'm going to send this suggestion to Apple right away. Hopefully, it'll make Vision Pro better for folks like us who need prism lenses or have strabismus.

Really appreciate your help with this. It means a lot!
