Start there. It is nearly certain Apple will ask you to update macOS before they proceed any further, so you might as well accomplish that before contacting them. To learn how to do that please read Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support. New Macs ship with macOS "Sonoma" but it is possible yours was not updated before Apple shipped it to you.
After updating macOS, determine if you still have troubles. Please write back.
