I edited a contact more than a few days ago and the added information never showed up on my phone. I checked and I do have Contacts turned on in iCloud settings. And the iCloud version is also not correct. Is there some reason my contacts are not syncing properly?

Do you have iCloud turned on on your Mac and on your iPhone, because if you don't they can not sync with the help of iCloud.
Yes. It is turned on with the Mac and phone. The calendar is synching properly, no problem. Only Contacts is a problem.
