Can I get the IP address of someone communicating with me?

I’m being scammed and filling out an FBI Ic3 form. It won’t let me submit the form without the scammers IP address. Is it possible to determine this from my end?

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 17

You are likely not to know it. The IC3 form says to just fill out the information that you know and proceed to the next step. That should not stop you from submitting the form. If you entered something in the IP Address field, erase it and leave it blank.

That depends on how you are being scammed exactly.

If its just a message or email then no, no way to get the IP address.

If you were scammed in some other way, then you may be able to get it, but its not going to be an easy thing to do, and will depend on how this scam was performed.
