Tuner in Logic does not seem to be working

Hi

I am wanting to change the frequency of a track from 440hz to 432hz however when I do so using the tuner slider I can move it to 432hz so it shows as 432hz however there is no change in the sound. When I use the slider the sound is the same regardless of which frequency it is changed to. I have also inserted a tuner fx and it states 432 hz but again there is no change in the sound. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!

Don't know what "Tuner FX" you're talking about. But what you seem to be wanting to do is adjust the pitch of the track (this is not a MIDI track I assume). Then use the "Pitch Correction" effect. If you're talking about a MIDI track, then "Transpose" is the operation you want.

Hi BenB

Thanks very much for your reply. It was the tuner plugin I was having issues with and it was with a midi track. I have since found a partial solution to the problem by creating a completely new track. It still doesn't work however on existing tracks or templates.

The Tuner is a Utility to tune instruments before the recording like Guitar strings or a synth patch. Like BenB already mentioned, if you need to re-pitch a track to a certain amount, you use either Pitch Shifter or Pitch Correction.

Many thanks for your reply. Not sure if you saw my reply to BenB though! I have managed to get the tuner to work on a completely new track devoid of any existing plugins.
