Icloud private relay not working

Hello,

Icloud private relay is disabling my internet connection on Safari. I have macbook pro, 2021, Sonoma 14.5, all updates installed.

when I disable private relay everything works.

Any ideas?

This is the second day we have experienced problems with "Private Relay is not available" but I can "use it tomorrow." What an odd error message! I have also noticed that embedded images in email on my Mac OS Apple Mail client are not displaying but are replaced by a generic icon. Even in old emails that previously displayed embedded images. I assume this has something to do with the Private Relay service being "not available". Safari works sporadically. Yesterday Safari was unable to connect to any web server for a few minutes, then it began connecting. Now the OS interrupts with alerts that Private Relay is not available.
