i updated my logic from version 10.8.1 to 11.0.1, but when i start it up from my dock on my home screen it loads into 10.8.1. The only way it starts up into 11.0.1 is if i go to the app store and open it from there. Does any one have a fix for this. This is severely hurting workflow at the moment as i keep loading into the wrong version.

... and rename your old Logic version to something useful like Logic10-8-1. And select a logic project in the finder (without opening it) , press cmd+I (Information), look if the correct app version is chosen under "open with" and set the correct one as default.

Check your Applications Folder. Most likely you have 2 (or more) versions of Logic Pro in there. Drag the v11.0.1 version into the Dock
