Problem: Changing Voice for Spoken Content doesn’t actually change the voice

iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 17.6.

I am trying to change the voice for spoken content (using the “Speak” command when highlighting text).

I’ve selected this in Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content > Voices > English > Siri > Voice 2

When I highlight a text, in an app like Telegram, it still uses the older synthetic monotonous voice: Samantha

How to resolve this issue so I can have a better sounding voice read out text for me?

Hi Saifan Pilot

Re: "Problem: Changing Voice for Spoken Content doesn’t actually change the voice"

Wondering if you have downloaded the voice you want to use:

See Apple Support's online article: How to: Adjust voice and speed for VoiceOver and Speak Screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Eg: says: "Enhanced-quality voices can be 100 MB or larger.

Connect your device to Wi-Fi to download and install one of these voices".

All the best :-)
