LOST ALL MUSIC FROM MY IPOD

MOST POSTS HERE ARE FOR APPLE MACS. I USE A PC WITH WINDOWS 11 AND NEED HELP GETTING MY MUSIC BACK. SOME OF IT GOES BACK TO AT LEAST 2004. HELP!

You either corrupted something when moving the folder, or if you have iTunes installed, it may have synced the iTunes library on the PC and removed everything from the iPod.


Try the following and see if you can at least find the Music folder on the iPod, that way you can copy it out onto the PC at least and recreate the library.

If you have the music folders on the PC now, you will need to import all the music files into iTunes and then sync the library back onto the iPod again.

then here ➜ Sync music between your Windows device and iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support


You may need to manually recreate the library from the music files in the recovered folders though.

Here's what happened:

I was listening to music that has been on my IPOD forever. The IPOD was connected via USB to my Windows 11 PC. Everything was going well for weeks. Then one day, I used the file explorer to look at the folders that were actually on the IPOD. I "think" I may have inadvertently moved a folder in one of the IPOD list on the PC. My finger tends to double tap occasionally. Now nothing appears on my IPOD at all.
