Getting Vizio TV working with Mac Mini 2018 Intel
I'm trying to use a single TV to connect my devices.
A video game console connects on it and a Blu-ray player connects on it but not my Macintosh HDMI connection.
I'm trying things like an HDMI to component video converter, running it through an HDMI PVR, And both simultaneously and all four modes don't show up on a Vizio.
If bad comes to worse I could always use my other monitor but I would rather not have two monitors plugged in just for an off chance using this monitor for computer.
It looks like the Mac Mini is not designed to be transported from one area of the house to another or to another house. I understand it's a desktop and you have to provide your own monitor keyboard and mouse but if it's so portable why doesn't it automatically go into resolution scan mode to see what modes it can't accept from based on the TV plugged in?
I don't know how to get it to scan for monitors. I know how to do it when two monitors are together but when I'm moving from one monitor to another it won't want to scan. I can't see a picture to get it into the main computer mode. I'm stuck at the login screen and it's totally black
