Logic Pro 11 updating issue

Hi -- I have an issue after I updated my Logic Pro 10.7.4 for Mac to Logic Pro 11 in the App Store, running on Sonoma 14.6.1 on an M1 Mac Studio.

When I first viewed LP 11 in the App Store, the UPDATE button was available, and seemed to successfully complete the update process. The button changed to an OPEN button as expected, and opened LP 11 so I could explore the new features.

But in my applications folder, a "get info" on the application shows it is still 10.7.4 -- it did not update, and the new version 11 is not visible. When I go back to the App Store, the button is now showing OPEN, and when I click it, it opens LP11.

To recap -- the Logic Pro icon in my applications folder still launches v10.7.4, and I cannot find the installed updated version of LP11 -- but if I go back to the App Store, click OPEN in the Logic Pro section, it opens the new updated LP11!

Any thoughts on how can I fix this...?

Thanks!

Kav

UPDATE -- this issue is resolved -- sharing the fix I found, in case it helps anyone:

I moved my backup copy of LP 10.7.4 (previous version I was using) to an external drive. Then deleted it from my applications folder along with the alias for it that lived on my Launcher, and restarted.

Then I went back to the App Store, and this time the OPEN button showed the "re-download from cloud" icon. I clicked that to reinstall, and now my updated LP11 lives in my Applications folder where it should. Launches fine. All fixed!
