How can I set Windows as the default operating system?

So I have a computer that’s a hybrid of Apple and Windows. Every time I open it it goes to Apple, but I want it to open on Windows. But I have to hold Alt to be able to switch. Can I change the default program?

You have a computer whose internal drive is partitioned, and which has two operating systems installed – each on a different partition of the drive.

The computer has to pick a startup disk somehow. It has a preference saved somewhere. There are three ways to override or change that preference.

  1. Hold down the Option / Alt key while starting up the computer, so that the firmware goes into Startup Manager.
  2. While booted up in macOS, use the method(s) that macOS provides to change the startup disk preference.
  3. While booted up in Windows, use the method(s) that Windows provides to change the startup disk preference.
