ScanSnap scanner S1500M on a M2 MacMini running Sonoma 14.6

Followed prior community advice, but downloaded installed said that I needed Rosetta to install on Apple Silicon Mac. True? Does Rosetta come pre-installed on M2 MacMini?

Thanks.

If you continue to have operational issues with your ScanSnap S1500M, consider trialing VueScan Professional which does support this device. VueScan Professional works just fine on my M2 Mac Mini Pro running Sonoma 14.6.1.

I don't receive any benefit from the vendor for mentioning their product here and have owned VueScan Professional since 2010 without ever paying any upgrade or subscription fee.
