Backing up iCloud contents
When I browse my backups file, I can't find the contents of iCloud. Yet I can't find a setting to make it back up the iCloud Drive? What am I missing?

iCloud is the backup (except even Apple says you should keep copies elsewhere too). What it has should also be on any device you have that is signed into your ID and has iCloud activated on it. iCloud is syncing storage, not a standard hard drive in the sky kind of thing. That is not how it works on my Desktop iMac. On that computer I can browse time machine backups of the iCloud drive.
The problem I describe is what happens on my son's MacBook Air. I don't understand why it is different.
