Apple Music issues after iOS 18 Update

Has anyone experienced issues with Apple Music in iOS 18? For example, audio quality lowered despite Dolby Atmos and EQ off? Or trying to scroll through your playlist and the app crashes?

Audio sync problem with multiple HomePod … - Apple Community

Hello, I'm having a trouble with playing songs in my Apple Music with multiples HomePods around my house. After the second music the HomePods are losing the sync and are not syncing again. To resync I have to pause and play again every single time. It start after iOS 18.1 and was not solved with iOS 18.2. I have 2 HomePods first generation in stereo pair, one HomePod first generation, 2 HomePods mini in stereo pair, and 2 HomePods mini in a single setup. I had reset all the HomePods after HomeOS 18.2, I turn off lossless and also Dolby Atmos, also I tried to turn off the audio check settings in the home app and also Apple Music app turn off all the HomePods and my iPhone and turn it again on, I fixed the IPs of all my HomePods. But none of this solved my problem.

I checked the airplay multiroom with Spotify and I have no problem with this That is the reason I think is something with Apple Music app turn off

The problem happen also if the streaming is started from the HomePods, But affect just the multiroom AirPlay using more than one HomePods

I don’t have nearly the amount of songs that have, but even if someone only has around 500 songs, this whole matter with Apple is still a huge pain.

I just ripped three more CD’s into my library only to have them greyed out on my iPhone and iPad, because it says they are not available in my country. What is with Apple. This has happened more times than I can count over the years.

My entire library is still screwed up and none of the recent updates have fixed anything. This is not the first time that I have been through this mess with Apple. This same matter happened to me with an update about five years ago, but successor updates seemed to remedy the problem; not now though.

As I have stated in several posts, I’m done with Apple’s iTunes/Music. This amount of hassle is simply not worth it. I’m looking to buy a high end streamer that I can burn all of my CD’s into and hopefully transfer those songs over to my iPhone and iPad.

It’s good to hear that you were able to recapture almost all of your 60K plus songs, but it still sounds like there are issues. This is just unacceptable with Apple.

Apple would not let me post my comment without altering it. Keep in mind that I had no foul language in my previous attempt to post.

Cheers

And it’s not just music. 18.2 introduced a new feature whereby emails are “sorted”, by which I mean it’s hidden them and nothing I do can help me find them. They are still there as they’re visible when I log in to the web browser on my lap top, but they’re missing from my phone. I’ve mentioned this to a couple of friends who both have exactly the same issue.

Hmm, I said the other day 18.3 hadn’t fixed anything. What I should have said is it’s made things worse. Bluetooth connection to my Garmin is now constantly dropping out and it can take an age to persuade them to talk to each other again - it dropped yesterday and has taken until now to upload yesterday’s run, that’s almost 23 hours with multiple attempts. Pre 18.3 it happened occasionally but would always reconnect at the first attempt. Smashing!

I love Apple Music convincing other people who have Spotify to switch. But after that iOS 18 update I’ve been having problems left and right to the point where I’m willing to pay that extra money for Spotify even though I still prefer Apple Music and I’m hoping to switch once the problems are resolved. But who knows when that will be I tried switching back twice already since iOS 18, but I’m having the same problems still I guess I’m gonna wait till next year

I use Apple Music on my MacBook and iPad. But I don't have a subscription and only load my own music. It's working quite well with no problems on both machines. Seems the issue is with the streaming service. I make it a habit not to upgrade frequently if things are working well. Upgrading sometimes has advantages in that they fixed a few things on the MacBook app that they screwed up way back when they went from iTunes to Apple Music. They had taken away a few features that made the app harder to use. But I'm happy now and may not upgrade for a long time to come!

I recently subscribed to apple music again andI had to redownload every song. Thats not the problem though the problem is that I can play a few songs for like 6 minutes or a little bit shorter than that but after that time every song keeps saying “Could not connect to server” and its annoying because I just wasted money to listen to music and I cant. Ive tried everything google says. Ive restarted my phone, router, deleted the app, turned on and off sync, and more. And yet nothing seems to be working. Please apple or someone help me out with this problem.
